Description

"Hot alternative modern rock with a flavorful Southern twist is what Just Off Turner provide. Great American rock & roll, with attention to songwriting, soaring vocal harmonies and Top 40 choruses make this act a must see." - Music Connection magazine

Since arriving on the LA scene, Just Off Turner has evolved into a band that is repeatedly turning heads and consistently winning over new fans. With passionate lyrics contagious melodies and a timeless sound, JOT is a band with universal appeal. Stellar songwriting and inspiring musicianship have led audiences to draw comparisons to artists such as Jeff Buckley, Coldplay, and John Mayer.

After moving the group from Arkansas in 2001, founding members Bryan Mounce (lead vocals and guitar) and Eric Gustafson (drums & vocals) teamed up with Phil Metzler (keyboards & vocals) and Stephen Andrews (bass & vocals) to create their own exciting brand of soulful rock n roll. Their innovative songwriting and inspired melodies have earned the band headlining spots at LAs hottest venues such as The Mint, Key Club and the world-famous Viper Room. In addition, their songs have been featured in the ABC sitcom Help Me Help You starring Ted Danson, the E! reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Oxygen Networks Bad Girls Club and the season finale of MTVs The Real World: Sydney.

Grammy winner, John Mayer, also personally endorsed the boys in his April 28, 2007 MySpace blog and wrote a glowing review of their song How Much It Hurts - Which he added to his own, personal MySpace music player.

Since then, JOT has lent their music to MTV, E!, Oxygen and ABC television shows as well as in Web TV and other multi-media. JOT has toured US cities as well as Europe with plans to return in 2013 and travel to South America as well.

In 2010, the band collaborated with Universal Records Italy recording artist Nesli to produce the chart-topping single Capricorno which led to a European tour in 2011. Their awareness abroad continues to grow with a remarkable following in Brazil, Switzerland, Italy and the UK.
